Finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by JK Rowling. Started Red Rising, by Pierce Brown and Leviathan Wakes, by James SA Corey.

Red Rising is definitely different than I thought it would be. I don't think I will end up liking it as much as everyone else seems to, and I'm surprised at the plot outline actually. Each chapter seemed to be its own little task that's wrapped up in 5 pages. Helldiving, a dinner, an execution, indoctrination, surgery, training etc etc. So I was surprised when the tribal/castle stuff ended up taking longer than one chapter, and instead makes up the bulk of the book.

I've only read the first chapter of Leviathan so far but I'm excited to give it more attention after I finish Red Rising.

Hopefully finishing Dune, by Frank Herbert today or tomorrow. I like the book, but I've been struggling to read it for the past month. For some reason I have to force myself to pick it up.

Still working on The Deathly Hollows, by JK Rowling.

Will also probably start some book by Brandon Sanderson. I have Warbreaker, Edgedancer, Snapshot and White Sand lined up on my Kindle, so probably one of those.

Black Kettle and Full Moon, by Geoffrey Blainey. Scratching that Australian history itch I had.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J. K. Rowling

A Delicate Truth, by John Le Carré. Whee, intrigue. I bloody love Le Carré, there’s no one better than he is at this one very specific genre.

A Fabulous Kingdom: The Exploration of the Arctic, by Charles Officer and Jake Page

Will finish Edgedancer, by Brandon Sanderson today. I'm trying to get through this and Warbreaker before I start Oathbringer. I like how creative and fresh Sanderson keeps his stories and characters.

Slowly working through Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J.K. Rowling. Its starts off a little slow, but its starting to pick up.

Will probably start Red Sister, by Mark Lawrence and/or Warbreaker, by Brandon Sanderson this week.

Started Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J. K. Rowling after finishing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, by J. K. Rowling, The Old Man and the Sea, by Ernest Hemingway, and The Sun Also Rises, by Ernest Hemingway (which I enjoyed quite a lot this time around).

I'll probably be leaving my Harry Potter bubble this week, as I started on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J.K. Rowling audiobook, read by Stephen Fry a few days ago. It's been so nice to be back at Hogwarts.

I'm also speeding through Fool's Quest, by Robin Hobb (Book 2 of The Fitz and the Fool trilogy). Spoilers

Finished:

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, by J.K. Rowling.

I didn’t realize it, but this is probably my favorite Harry Potter book. I couldn’t put it down. I usually also juggle 4-5 books at a time so I have some variety, but my others have remained untouched ever since I reached the halfway point of Order of the Phoenix.

Others I’m working through:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by JK Rowling
Inferno, by Dan Brown
A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, by Ishmael Beah
Red Rising, by Pierce Brown

So last week I finished:

Fugitive Six (Lorien Legacies Reborn book 2), by Pittacus Lore loving LLR. Action was a bit slower at the beginning but the way the plot came together and wrapped up in the end more than made up for it. Can’t wait for the next one.

City of Heavenly Fire (Mortal Instruments book 6), by Cassandra Clare I’m going to miss that series so much man. It was incredible. One of my favorites now. Definetley gonna check out Infernal Devices.

Divergent, by Veronica Roth the entire first half of the book was kinda slow and more for the plot but I enjoyed it.

Now I’m reading:

Harry Porter and the Half-Blood Prince (book 6), by JK Rowling so happy to be re-reading HP again. This is my comfort series.

Insurgent (Divergent Trilogy book 2), by Veronica Roth liking this book much better than the first one so far. It’s a pretty good read. Still have a lot to go tho
