Snow Crash, by Neal Stephenson. Just hit the halfway mark, reading it for my sci-fi book club. It's the first Neal Stephenson I've read.
Shadow of the Wind, by Carlos Ruiz Zafon it's okay, but apparently it's part of a series and I doubt I'll continue the series. It does make me want to visit Barcelona, though.

Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
This is what I've always imagined Dan Brown is like. It's trash, but it zips along and is entertaining. Then half an hour later I've forgotten it all. I don't regret starting it but I'm looking forward to reading something else.

Shadow Of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón Just finished it today, and boy. I had the impression that the author does a fine job of setting up the atmostphere. I really enjoyed his writing style, especially the words that were used in the translation in my native language. Though I don't read very often in my native tongue, I really got a kick out of doing it this time and it has given me the motivation to read another book that was originally writen in said tongue. Though I sometimes got frustrated with the actions of the characters, I still developed a fondness of them.
